Kahoot!, the Norwegian learning and engagement platform, announced Monday the launch of its Singapore office as its Asia Pacific (APAC) hub to support and accelerate its rapid growth across the region.

The announcement was made during a media event held in Singapore, where Kahoot! unveiled its APAC strategic roadmap and conducted a demo tour showcasing how the platform is used in classroom and workplace scenarios, Kahoot! said in a statement.

With the rising demand for lifelong learning, Kahoot! said the firm is well-positioned to play a leading role in the APAC learning ecosystem, supporting businesses of all sizes through Kahoot! 360, and empowering schools and universities with Kahoot! EDU.

These trusted, scalable solutions bring interactive, impactful, and accessible learning to millions of people around the world every day.

“We’re excited to establish our APAC hub in Singapore—an ideal gateway for our regional growth,

“This marks a key step in expanding the reach of our solutions to more educators, students, and professionals across APAC,” said Ahteram Uddin, Vice President Commercial, APAC at Kahoot! during the media event.

“We’re focused on helping organizations transform onboarding, upskilling, and internal communication into engaging, impactful experiences,

“At the same time, we’re scaling our support for schools and universities through interactive tools, premium content from global partners, and a growing suite of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features designed to make learning even more impact for all,” he added.

Since its official launch in 2013, Kahoot! has hosted over 12 billion non-unique participants and currently supports more than 25 million active users worldwide, establishing itself as a world leader in interactive learning.

It is noted that the APAC region has emerged as one of the key growth drivers, with over 250 million non-unique participants over the past 12 months.

In Southeast Asia and Japan alone, over 750,000 teachers leverage Kahoot! to engage and boost academic performance in their classrooms, also with strong growth in workplaces and social settings.

This growth highlights Kahoot!’s expanding role as a vital learning and engagement tool in APAC, also driven by the introduction of AI-powered features such as AI question generator and smart note scanning for students, said the statement.

The platform’s appeal has also been elevated through content partnerships with globally recognized providers including Disney, Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters, TED,
Peanuts, Nickelodeon, Microsoft and many more.

In addition, localization into regional languages such as Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian and Thai has made Kahoot! even more accessible and personalized for diverse users, according to the statement.

“Singapore is one of the most forward-looking markets in the world when it comes to lifelong learning and digital transformation,” said Ahteram Uddin.

“With strong national investment in upskilling and a rapidly growing demand for flexible, measurable learning solutions, it’s a natural fit for Kahoot!,

“Whether in schools, workplaces, or through government initiatives like SkillsFuture, we see a huge opportunity to support learners and organizations in achieving their goals,” he added.

Since launch, Kahoot! has hosted hundreds of millions of learning sessions with over 12 billion participants (non-unique) in more than 200 countries and regions.

The Kahoot! Group includes Clever, the leading US K-12 EdTech learning platform, together with the learning apps DragonBox, Poio, Drops, Actimo, Motimate, and Whiteboard.fi.

The Kahoot! Group is headquartered in Oslo, Norway with offices in the US, the UK, France, Finland, Estonia, Japan, Singapore, Denmark, Spain and Poland.
