Indonesia’s Elevarm raises $4.25M in Pre-Series A funding led by Intudo

Elevarm, an Indonesian agritech company, has raised $4.25 million in pre-Series A financing led by Intudo, with participation from existing investors Insignia Ventures Partners and 500 Global.
Elevarm said in a statement on Thursday that the funds will be used to build artificial intelligence (AI)-powered farmer productivity tools, expand seed varieties, and develop new agri-input products that enhance soil health, promote biodiversity, and strengthen crops.
With the new funding, the firm plans to implement a number of strategic initiatives, namely expanding seedling varieties – offering more options to help farmers choose the best crops for their land and goals.
It also plans to develop new agri-inputs – creating bio-based fertilizers, pest control solutions, and other products through NextBio to enhance soil health, promote biodiversity, and increase crop resilience.
It also plans to launch AI-powered digital tools – providing real-time insights to optimize farming practices, automate tasks, and support smarter decision-making for both farmers and Elevarm’s field team.
“Access to high-quality seedlings and fertilizers has long been a challenge for smallholder farmers, limiting their ability to maximize yields and sustain profitable harvests,
“Elevarm is changing this by making high-quality farming essentials accessible to all, enhancing productivity and improving farmer livelihoods,” said Bayu Syerli, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Elevarm.
Meanwhile, Elevarm Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Bayu Syerli said that through the firm’s suite of tech-driven horticulture solutions, Elevarm supports thousands of smallholder horticulture farmers across Indonesia, enhancing yields through collaboration and a win-for-all approach.
“We are thankful for the trust of our investors in supporting our mission in driving sustainable growth for Indonesia’s horticulture industry, enabling us to expand our geographical footprint and offer more innovative products and solutions to meet the needs of smallholder horticulture farmers and improve their livelihoods,” he said.
Founded in 2022, Elevarm specializes in horticulture production and high-quality agricultural inputs.
By providing superior seeds, bio-based fertilizers, and environmental-friendly pest control solutions, the firm boosts the yield and income of smallholder horticulture farmers across Indonesia.
The company’s in-house research and development (R&D) engine, NextBio, is dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable agricultural inputs to help farmers improve soil health, enhance biodiversity, and increase crop resilience.
Its seedlings are produced in advanced greenhouses and nurtured with precision and care. This results in stronger, healthier plants for higher yields and more consistent harvests.
Elevarm also supports more than 15,000 farmers across West Java, Central Java, and Yogyakarta.
The company also collaborates with over 30 partners, including: Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), IPB University, Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), Bank BJB, Amartha, Rabo Foundation, Reliance Finance, Transform (Unilever, UK FCDO, and EY), and other government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and research & development labs.
Through the company’s large-scale farming production standard operation procedures (SOPs), Elevarm covers all major aspects of cultivation, from land preparation and planting to crop maintenance, pest control, and harvest.
The Elevarm app leverages AI to equip the on-ground team with real-time insights, data-driven recommendations, and precision farming techniques.
This promotes the adoption of advanced cultivation techniques – such as integrated pest management, efficient irrigation systems, and optimized planting strategies – to maximize yields and minimize environmental impact.
The firm’s sustainable practices have led to a reduction of 706 tCO2e in greenhouse gas emissions while improving soil health.
“Elevarm is well-positioned to shape the future of Indonesia’s horticulture industry,” said Patrick Yip, Founding Partner, Intudo.
“By continuing to innovate, invest in technology, and prioritize sustainability, Elevarm can lead the way toward a more productive, resilient, and sustainable agricultural sector,
“We’re excited to back Elevarm and support them in making this vision a reality,” he added.
Khailee Ng, Managing Partner at 500 Global, said that agriculture is seeing growing innovation and investment as food security remains a global priority.
“By combining AI with traditional farming wisdom, Elevarm offers a scalable approach that has the potential to help nations worldwide strengthen their food systems while adopting sustainable farming practices,” he added.
