QAI Ventures, the Switzerland investor and ecosystem builder in quantum tech and advanced computing technologies, announced Thursday the launch of its operations in Singapore, establishing its Asia-Pacific headquarters.

To strengthen Singapore’s position as a global hub for QuantumAI innovation, QAI Ventures is partnering with Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), to bring its acceleration and venture building activities to Singapore, according to the firm’s statement.

This partnership builds on Singapore’s strengths in high-profile quantum research, robust intellectual property (IP) regime, as well as its government-backed National Quantum Strategy, supported by close to S$300 million ($222 million) in funding – all underpinned by the nation’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem and talent.

QAI Ventures’ portfolio currently spans 27 pioneering companies across Europe and North America.

The venture capital’s latest expansion into Singapore reflects the country’s growing significance as a leader in quantum research and innovation.

With its strong foundation in academia, forward-looking policies, and dynamic startup environment, Singapore is uniquely positioned to accelerate the adoption of QuantumAI technologies.

In collaboration with leading stakeholders in Singapore’s ecosystem spanning academia, quantum startups, and pioneering corporates, QAI Ventures said it will accelerate the commercialization of cutting-edge research, attract global startups to Singapore, and foster corporate partnerships across industries such as finance, industrials, and life sciences.

According to the statement, QAI Ventures will launch two flagship initiatives under the partnership with EnterpriseSG.

These include (i) a five-month QuantumAI Accelerator Program, designed to scout and scale global startups; and (ii) a Venture Building Program, focused on turning research into market-ready solutions, translating Singapore’s strong research and IP into globally competitive businesses.

Both programs will build on QAI Ventures’ successful track record in Europe and North America, where its hubs in Switzerland and Canada have already produced pioneering ventures and attracted global industry partners.

Ahead of the official commencement of the programs in January 2026, QAI Ventures will host the GenQ Quantum Hackathon from October 24 to 26, 2025 – a partner event of SWITCH by Enterprise Singapore to scout top talent for the Accelerator Program and Venture Building.

To underscore its long-term commitment, QAI Ventures has established a local office in Singapore, building a dedicated team led by Thomas Landis, Managing Director of QAI Ventures in Singapore.

This local presence ensures deep integration with Singapore’s research community, startups, corporates, and investors.

“Singapore offers a unique blend of world-class research, forward-thinking government support, and entrepreneurial energy,

“Together with Enterprise Singapore, we are excited to help transform these strengths into global quantum businesses,” said Alexandra Beckstein, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of QAI Ventures.

Emily Liew, Assistant Managing Director, Innovation, Enterprise Singapore, said the regional hackathon launches their collaboration with QAI Ventures to cultivate venture-ready startups and accelerate enterprise quantum readiness, advancing Singapore as a leading global quantum hub.

“We welcome QAI Ventures and encourage aspiring players to leverage their expertise to fast-track quantum innovations,” she added.
