Malaysia’s digital third-party administrator HealthMetrics launches in Indonesia

HealthMetrics, a Malaysia-based digital third-party administrator (TPA), announced the official launch of HealthMetrics Indonesia – uniting the longstanding expertise of Across Asia Assist Indonesia (AAA) with its advanced digital infrastructure to create a single, integrated digital TPA powerhouse poised to transform healthcare administration in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
HealthMetrics said in a statement on last Friday that for over a decade, Across Asia Assist Indonesia has supported millions of Indonesians through its role as a TPA and international medical assistance provider – serving insurance clients such as Allianz, AXA, Tokio Marine, and local corporates.
Following HealthMetrics’ acquisition of AAA in 2022, the company has now officially rebranded to HealthMetrics Indonesia to reflect this transformation – bringing together deep local expertise with next-generation digital infrastructure.
This rebranding aims to deliver faster, smarter, and more seamless healthcare administration for insurers, corporations, healthcare providers, and members across the country and regionally.
Alongside the launch of HealthMetrics Indonesia, the company also launched three flagship solutions in Indonesia: the HealthMetrics Cloud Platform, Global Member App, and International Assistance Hub.
These digital solutions mark a new era of scalable, intelligent, and patient-centric healthcare administration with greater efficiency, transparency, and access to care, both locally and across borders.
“We believe our digital-first approach is fully aligned with Indonesia’s vision for Indonesia Emas 2045 to build an integrated healthcare ecosystem that connects stakeholders and elevates healthcare outcomes nationwide,” said Dr. Madan Mohan Vasandani, Chief Executive Officer of HealthMetrics Indonesia.
In addition to continuing its trusted support for insurers and large organizations currently working with HealthMetrics’ TPA services, HealthMetrics Indonesia is bringing its award-winning, ISO27001-certified Cloud Platform, to a broader corporate audience.
The platform empowers HR and business leaders to gain real-time insights, track health trends, and implement wellness strategies that foster healthier, more engaged, and productive workforces.
HealthMetrics promotes health equity, affordability, and better access to care for businesses and employees in Indonesia.
This meets the growing need among Indonesian companies for digital tools that help manage healthcare costs, support employee well-being, and build stronger, more resilient organizations.
“No single player can fix Southeast Asia’s fragmented healthcare system. But by aligning technology, partnerships, and purpose, we can co-create a connected, borderless healthcare future,
“As such, I am excited with this unification of a shared mission with our Indonesian team, which already carry a formidable track record as a leading TPA and the largest assistance company in Indonesia,” said Alvin Yuan, Co-founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of HealthMetrics Group.
According to the statement, technology remains a key pillar in HealthMetrics’ vision for a borderless healthcare ecosystem.
In Indonesia, the HealthMetrics Cloud Platform will connect insurers, corporates, and providers to manage domestic and international policies seamlessly.
With features like instant member enrolment, AI-driven claims, fraud detection, cost containment, and real-time insights to ensure efficient and high-quality care delivery.
This is supported by the HealthMetrics Global Member App, which allows users to link multiple insurance policies, access care globally, request guarantee letters and claims, and enjoy wellness benefits – all from a single app.
To further improve cross-border care, the HealthMetrics International Assistance Hub offers access to over 15,000 direct billing healthcare providers through its regional TPA network, ensuring smoother coordination and improved provider terms.
With this strong digital foundation, HealthMetrics has grown rapidly into a leading digital TPA since its establishment in 2015, with a solid presence in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
“Our focus is not only on digitization, but on intelligent digital solutions – bringing cost savings, transparency, and control to all stakeholders in the healthcare journey,” said Advent Phang, Co-founder & Group Chief Technology Officer of HealthMetrics Group.
HealthMetrics has served over 100+ insurers, 3,000+ corporate clients, facilitating medical care through a network of 15,000+ healthcare providers.
The firm continues to grow its impact across Southeast Asia and is on track to exceed $1 billion in cumulative medical treatments by the end of 2025.
