Hong Kong-born construction tech company Varadise Limited has secured $3 million in a Series A funding round led by Betatron Venture Group.

Betatron said in a statement on Friday that the Innovation and Technology Venture Fund, under the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, is the other investor.

According to the statement, Varadise will leverage Betatron’s extensive global network and deep industry expertise to accelerate its international expansion including into Southeast Asia, China, and the Middle East.

The collaboration aims to establish Varadise as a global leader in built environment technology and innovative urbanism, bringing locally-developed solutions to the international stage.

“This investment marks a pivotal moment in our journey,

“With Betatron’s support, we’re ready to bring our comprehensive solutions to cities across the globe,” said Terence Lui, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Varadise.

“When I started Varadise with five young colleagues a few years back, we shared a bold vision to revolutionize how buildings and cities are constructed, operated, and managed through technology,

“Today, Varadise has grown to a team of over 90 young professionals averaging 30 years of age. We have proven that determination and innovation from young talent can transcend traditional industry boundaries,” he added.

Founded in 2019, Varadise is a Hong Kong-grown firm in digital engineering, leading the charge towards smart city innovation in the built environment.

As a comprehensive solution provider for construction, facility, and city data management, the firm leverages state-of-the-art Digital Twin technology and advanced analytics to transform interactions with and management of physical environments.

The firm’s comprehensive solutions span the entire built environment lifecycle – from construction and facility management to urban data analytics – serving as a catalyst for creating smarter, more sustainable, and inclusive urban communities worldwide.

Its platform improves how buildings are designed, constructed and managed by integrating advanced digital twin capabilities, geographic information system (GIS), building information management (BIM), artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) sensors.

The platform’s data-driven approach helps organizations optimize resource utilization, supporting their environmental and sustainability goals.

Varadise also has a track record of over 100 successful projects spanning everything from construction, to building, to large-scale city-level initiatives.

A notable example is the Tung Chung New Town Extension (TCNTE) project, where innovative technologies including digital twin, AI and IoT solutions have been implemented.

The project’s digital twin platform integrates over 400 models from 14 construction contracts across 30 companies, demonstrating effective digital collaboration in large-scale development.

“The built environment sector is ripe for digital transformation, and Varadise is well positioned to lead this sea change,” said Matthias Knobloch, Managing Partner at Betatron.

“Their integrated platform, which seamlessly connects construction, facility management, and urban data, has proven its value in one of Asia’s most demanding markets,

“We’re excited to support their vision of transforming how cities are built and managed worldwide,” he added.
